Gibeon Meteorite
Locality : The Great Nama Land, Namibia, Africa
31 lbs
The Gibeon Meteorite strewn field was found in 1836. It is one of the largest meteorite strewn fields ever found measuring 40 miles wide by 250 miles long. The actual fall occurred in prehistoric times.
Meteorites are often treasured as much for their sculptural beauty as for their rarity as you can see in this specimen here. At 31 lbs, it is a museum worthy, fine, large meteorite.
